Cardamom Mustard Chicken Wings

My favorite thing to do in the fall is bake. I love trying new recipes and using different ingredients to make meals more flavorful. dōTERRA Cardamom essential oil is a great spice to use for cooking and baking. Cardamom has a spicy, fruity, warm, and balsamic aroma and taste.

Whenever I think of fall, my mind goes straight to family, friends, and food. There are so many holidays packed with spending time with loved ones and gathering around the table to enjoy delicious meals together. Ingredients
Sauce 
4 tablespoons spicy mustard
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons brown sugar
3–4 drops Cardamom oil
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper


Wings

1 dozen chicken wings
Salt
Pepper
Olive oil to coat wings


Instructions

  1. Mix all sauce ingredients together until sugar dissolves and set aside.
  2. Coat wings with oil and a little salt and pepper.
  3. Bake wings at 350° F for about an hour or until wings are crispy. Turn once halfway through cooking.
  4. Pull the wings out and baste with sauce, coating evenly.

  1. This sounds great! Do you know if erythritol would make an okay subtitute for the brown sugar, for those of us who eat low-carb or keto?

  2. I have never heard of Cardamom essential oil. It is good that it has the capacity to soothe the stomach. My husband sometimes has stomach issues. Incidentally, the way those mustard chicken wings are made they are destined to be delicious. The added advantage is that anyone can eat them for they would be soothing to the stomach.
