How To Gain Control And Power As A Single Mom
At the end of the day and in life, you only have yourself. It doesn’t matter if you have kids, a spouse, parents, etc. YOU are the one who is in charge of your life. You have to be happy with yourself.
As I go back to therapy I realize this more and more. I am the only one who can control the things in my life. As Antonio gets older, he might do things that I do not like or agree with. I can guide him but I cannot make him do anything. This has been sticking with me more and more.
Why? Primarily because this is one of the reasons I became an entrepreneur. I wanted to have freedom and a legacy for my family. I wanted to be in control of myself, success, and life.
I want to protect myself with my assets.
As a business owner, and person, sometimes I do not say no.
Sometimes I overthink and this has to stop. I have to protect myself and the companies that I have built over the years. These are the goals that I am currently working on.
I have to tell myself often lately, that I am in control of my life, thoughts, and actions. What others do, I can not get upset with or try to fix the situation.
My thought for you: as an entrepreneur, there will be times when things don’t go as planned and you want to blame someone. However, once you realize that you are in control of your life and only yours, that is when you take your power back.
