A numberblock 7th Birthday Party

I am excited about another birthday party this year for Antonio. This year he is really into Number Blocks; he of course totally loves his Mickey. We have had a ton of Mickey parties over the years, so we wanted to do something different.

Plus, he is really into math, numbers, learning, and drawing. It is so interesting to see him develop each and every year.

He picked out this theme and I am looking forward to it! Here are some great party supplies and gift items.

Happy Sixth Birthday Antonio

I literally can not believe my son is turning six today. I remember when he was born like it was yesterday.

It seems like time flew by… everyone warned me, it would go by fast. I believed them, but not this fast.

You are no longer my baby… or my baby boy… you’re now my little man.

We have such an incredible bond and journey.

This year feels so special to me. I am so proud of you and how far you have come.

You are independent, stubborn, and have a personality…. Quite the personality I should add.

You are developing into a young boy and are so talented. I can’t wait to see where life takes you!

I am glad that God blessed me with you. Happy Birthday Tony D; you’re the best thing that ever happened to me and I can’t wait to see what the next year brings you.

The Best Five-Year-Old Birthday Gifts

Can we just talk about how my little boy is going to be FIVE!?!! I can not believe that he is going to be five, I mean it flew by. For real. I love being his mom and seeing how he grows every day.

Each year has brought so much joy and fun times. Each year has been so unique, but I am loving how things are so different now. He is so independent and really enjoys new things. He LOVES Mickey, but he also has other favorite shows now, which is so GREAT!

He is so curious and interested in so many things, that it makes me so excited to see him developing his personality. We went through Amazon together and handpicked these items that he wants. I thought I would share it since I know how hard it can be shopping for a five-year-old!

Turning the BIG 3-0 + Dirty 30 Birthday Gifts

I am turning 30 y’all. Like, this isn’t cool. I am still trying to understand what 30 even means.

My 20’s were good but, honestly, were trial and error. I married young (married for 10 years). During that time my husband has been in the army and I finished my degrees while in and out of jobs… I just wasn’t where I wanted to be. Overall everything was fine, though.

I don’t regret getting married early, but man these years FLEW by. Our 20’s were reserved for love. Honestly, it was all about us. We waited SEVEN years to have a baby because we wanted to be ‘prepared.’ If I could go back, I would totally have him a year earlier.

But, hey, I do not have any complaints. I am glad with the way things worked out. My son was born when I was 27. I had no idea how to be a mom when he was born. We struggled at this point over lots of situations (mono, autism, moves, ear infections, etc.). I had a MID-LIFE CRISIS at about 28. After I ran that course, I knew I had to get my feet back up on the ground.

As I started to see my son grow each year, I thought, “Holy crap, this is amazing, exciting, fun, and depressing all at the same time”. I imagine the years ahead and how he is going to continue developing, how I keep progressing; everything around us is changing. And now we are thinking about retirement and other fun things. LIKE, when did I become an adult!? Do you ever think back and wonder where the time went? I remember celebrating my 21st birthday like it was yesterday. And what a HUGE milestone it was; now we no longer want to celebrate birthdays!

So… I DOVE into being a business owner and going after my dreams. This is my year to shine and break through and put the b.s behind me! I couldn’t find the right job for me. I knew my strengths and weaknesses. I always had a plan but was scared to dive in. I always had the entrepreneurial mindset and always knew what I was capable of achieving. Maybe I waited because I didn’t think someone would take a twenty-something-year-old seriously?? I don’t know. Maybe I needed all these years to gain experience and prepare me. Everything happens for a reason.

Here’s to being 30 and fabulous. Your 30’s stand for career growth. Preach it, work it, get it!

Take a moment to shop some of my fave festive 30th ITEMS!:

How to Throw a Birthday Party On a Budget

Throwing any type of party can be overwhelming and expensive. It doesn’t have to be though… do you know why? I am a penny-pincher and have found some great frugal finds for you to have a great party for a LOW cost. Every year I throw a nice party for my son, and yet manage to keep the cost down. Plus, you can still invite everyone on your list to come…

  • Create your own food: This seems kinda like “duh”. Make sure to prep the week of the party. There are so many simple recipes such as hamburgers, hot dogs, crockpot (pulled pork, chili), or whatever! Enjoy it. If someone offers to bring a dish, let them. Or even just order pizza and wings. Keep it simple.
  • Host it somewhere for free: Like your house, a park, etc: It doesn’t have to be fancy, guys. Have it where you don’t have to pay an arm and leg. If you need to borrow table and chairs ask around!
  • Have a budget in mind: This is the most important one. Try to really plan around your budget and break down how much to spend on each item.
  • Bake your desserts: Or have a friend bake your goodies, if you know of someone! My sister-in-law works at a bakery, so I always get them for a discounted price. You can make some really great desserts, though, especially searching on Pinterest.
  • Keep gifts simple: Gifts are really overrated. Don’t try to buy it all and buy presents that can be used years later… You know your kid better than anyone else so make sure to get the gifts that he/she will appreciate and enjoy. I also like to make sure to give money whenever possible and put it in their savings account.
  • Cut back decorations to a minimum: Again, your kid isn’t going to get mad if you don’t have all the decorations. If they have a theme for their party, then pick the fun cool stuff and shop around! You can find them for super cheap. I also like to save and reuse items for the next year.

Here are some great decorations to consider for an AMAZING PRICE:

  1. 30-Count Swirl Decorations – Happy Birthday Party Supplies, Party Whirl Streamers, “Happy Bday” Hanging Decorations, Assorted Colors
  2. Over 100 PC Happy Birthday Party Supplies set and Party Decorations All-in-One Pack including Banner, Flags, Foil Party Balloons, Hats,Confetti, Tablecloth and Plates by Joyin Toy
  3. Happy Birthday party decoration pom pom balls felt banner for kids party decorations and adults party decorations
  4. PartyPlanet Happy Birthday Party Decorations, Happy Birthday Banner, Pink and Gold Girl Birthday Party Supplies, Tissue Pom Poms, Balloons, Dot Paper Garland, Tassels

PS: Make sure you take into account a few people not making it because, well, life happens. You don’t need all that extra food!
