By now we have all had some winter storms, but luckily none of them were damaging. This is the time to stock up now for your winter storms. We don’t like to do this and like to think about this, but we know that we have to face reality. I love to stock up on these items before winter comes so that I don’t spend a ton of money all at once when it gets cold out.
So what does that mean? Heres a list of items you need for your winter storm prep:
- One gallon of water per person per day
- Non-perishable food
- manual can opener
- battery-powered or hand crank radio and a NOAA weather radio
- extra batteries
- Flashlight
- First aid kit
- Moist towelettes
- candles
- matches/lighters
- charcoal or propane for the grill
- canned goods
- coolers and ice
- dog, or cat, food
- toilet paper
- hand sanitizer
- garbage bags
- blankets
- pillows
- cash handy
- Important family documents in a waterproof container
- daily prescription medications
- infant formula or diapers.
Don’t wait for the storm to come, prepare now for it. Make sure that you stock up. What are some items that you have stocked up come winter time
