About a year ago, I was in a place where I had no idea how to be a business owner but I knew it was what I wanted to do. I had everything in place but something was missing. It seemed like most days I was struggling to find ways to express my thoughts and feeling and get the encouragement I needed.

One day I found my savior – my sales coach! I knew I needed her as a sales coach, but more than that I needed to be a part of a mastermind. I knew I had to lean in on other female entrepreneurs. It was the best decision I made. We all go through things and need to vent, let thing out, or share success stories with one another.

The best thing that I honestly love is the mastermind retreat. Do not get me wrong I love the online networking we do as well as the sales coaching part, but there is something about the retreat. All of the ladies (mostly mom’s) get together and talk about all things business.

We run away from our family and life for about three to four days. The very first one I went to I had MAJOR anxiety now I feel like we are all family and can’t wait for the next one. They say that everyone should experience a vacation on their own, especially mom’s., I couldn’t agree more…

If we were in a work environment we would have team meetings, right? So why not have something similar for entrepreneurs.  It is truly an amazing experience! I love this idea and love how planned it is (thank you sales coach Renee)

By the way this post is NOT sponsored by any means. It is true thoughts from myself on why everyone needs some sort of vacation.. Whether that vacation is for personal or business is your call. I like to mix both. 😉

It is the best for mental health. You realize how powerful and amazing you are. You come back happy and a changed person. If you go for business and surround yourself with great people you will get the confidence that you need. I know I always come back from the retreat confident and happy; there is something about being around successful female entrepreneurs.

It is a great time for reflecting. We doubt ourselves all the time, we think no one wants to buy from us.. or whatever. I can’t tell you how many times I came back from one of these and launched something new and it SOLD. Now of course there is much more to it than just talking about it, but I made it happen.

So when is the next time you are going to go on a ‘mom vacation?’ —> Join me over in my private little clubhouse for FREE RIGHT NOW, before we no longer accept new members!!

The Top Three Reasons Why Everyone Needs a Vacation

It doesn’t matter if you work, where you work, or how often you work; Everyone needs a vacation. This getaway doesn’t need to be anything crazy either. It can simply be a mini-vacation two hours away from home. I am not kidding. It will do you good. Hear me out.

The truth is that vacations HELP you. Don’t let yourself find excuses such as not being able to afford something, whatever that something is. You can do it. You need to take one. What’s even better is if you can experience a vacation away from the kiddos!! I use this planner to put together my vacation budget.

My husband and I took a trip back in August to Nashville to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary. The journey was kid-free, and it was the BEST feeling ever. I did have to do some work while there, but it wasn’t anything that I couldn’t do!! I was nervous; this was the first real time we went anywhere without our son. We left him with my parents, but it was like four nights without a kid! At first, I felt so down and called my parents A LOT because I didn’t know if they could handle it. The joke was on me. I was excited to use our new suitcase, we were able to really pack a lot with this suitcase.

We drank a little too much, hung out with old friends, and just enjoyed time doing nothing. We came back relaxed and ready to take on the world again. There is so much that comes from a vacation regarding mindset. More importantly, we were able to reconnect with each other. Life happens, and we can’t always have the time that we need.

We love to eat, so we went out to some of the best restaurants, and even  went to a comedy club. Of course we did tons of shopping and exploring the area even though we lived there many years ago. We did look to find out some new ideas from this book.

You feel rested, amazing, and like a new person. That is what vacation is ALL about!

But even small trips away will work. Last weekend, I went to a corn maze with the girls. I was gone for about five hours, had fun, drank wine, and laughed a little. This stint felt like a vacation to me; I was away from my husband and my son. These getaways are so essential to have at least once a month if not more often. We all need it! PS if you love wine, then you need this wine box!

When you take these breaks, be sure to unplug. Make sure you aren’t calling your kid and SO all the time. Get off social media and enjoy the moments! If they need you, they will get with YOU. Enjoy the time that you have apart from them.

When was the last time you had a vacation?

Summer means adventures, whether it’s a family trip to the beach, backyard BBQs with friends, or summer camp on the lake. Make sure the whole family has summer vacation-mode shoes to keep up.

Here are a few of our favorite styles for the whole family from DSW.

Roxy Lola Flip Flop

If last year’s flip flops look a little worn, consider trading them in for this classic update. The faux leather makes these sandals look less casual than others, but you won’t need to worry about the fabric being near water – perfect for days at the beach.

Margaritaville Dock Canvas Boat Shoe

For the man who prefers to spend his summer off land versus on, these dock canvas boat shoes are meant for him. The casual unwashed upper and leather lace detailing have a nautical vibe that perfectly complements a day filled of sailing or boating.

Nike Sunday Protect Toddler & Youth Sandal

Sunshine-filled days at summer camp call for the right footwear to get her through activities both on land and off. These water shoes feature a quick-dry fabric upper and a hook & loop strap closure to easily put on and take off.

Dream Beach!!

Planning a vacation to the beach can be fun, exciting, and stressful. The beach life is the best life, right? I seriously love going to the beach as often as I can. Typically we try to go to the beach at least once a year!

I love the sand in my toes and laying out on the sand! I am not a fan of going in the water except to cool off. I am kinda scared of water, haha! However, most of the time I can find my brothers and husband acting like little kids in the water and I enjoy watching them have the time of their life!

I like the girly things you know, tanning, eating, reading on my ipad, etc. A beach vacation isn’t complete for me though without some beautiful jewelry. Whenever I go to the beach I always plan on going out to dinner like every night, no lie. I glam up and go out! I accessory my outfits with the cutest, prettiest, and most adorable jewelry! After all that is what a vacation is all about, right?

The best beach that I have ever been to is Bermuda! Oh my gosh, I seriously love and adore that place! It was the most peaceful beach ever. I loved walking along the beach and taking photographs of the little findings! I have a dream bucket beach list which is:

  • Bahamas (I went there once when I was little I’d LOVE to go again!)
  • Hawaii
  • Barbados
  • Costa Rica
  • Dominican Republic
  • Puerto Rico
